If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance that you’re more than familiar with the fact that running in the heat is one of the biggest challenges that comes with being a runner.
Our company is based in the South (Atlanta, Georgia to be specific), and every spring and summer, temperatures skyrocket. For those of us who love outdoor running, it can be hard to be motivated to hit the scorching ground running and even harder to perform your best.
Between the months of April and September every year, people can be seen in races across the country doing anything they can to regulate their temperatures. It gets hot! People pour cups of water and ice on their heads at aid stations and try to rig all kinds of “solutions” to this huge problem.
If there are two things we’ve learned here at ICED, they are as follows.
- Runners may train alone sometimes, but they have a tendency to form communities both large and small.
- The ICED Cap really, scientifically, works.
